The articles are written by graduate and senior undergraduate students of Georgian and Armenian universities under the guidance of the leading experts in both countries. From the Georgian side the project was implemented by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and Association of Anthropologists of Georgia (AAG). From the Armenian side the project was conducted by the Center for Civilizations and Cultural Studies at Yerevan State University and “Hazarashen” Armenian Center for Ethnological Studies. The projecte was supported by the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation.

19 октября в БФУ им. И. Канта прошла открытая лекция приглашенного профессора, доктора филологических наук, ведущего специалиста в области семиотики, лингвистики, теории коммуникации Сурена Тиграновича Золяна.

Лекция о соотнесенности между языком и геномом поднимала важнейшие междисциплинарные вопросы: можно ли познать биологическую среду с помощью языка и можно ли исследовать структуру языка через геном? Специалист в области семиотики и лингвистики Сурен Золян представил двусторонний взгляд на биологическую среду и язык.
